What a fantastic week of sports we have had. We had lots of ups & many downs. It’s always exciting. That is why we watch, keep up with, discuss, argue, etc, etc about sports. But sometimes in sports there are a lot of uncertainties. This is my way of trying to clear things up. What I bring to you now is the top ten list. Though this week of sports has left a lot of questions, these are the things that I can see the clearest. So without further ado, here we go.

(Editor’s Note: These are in no specific order, as my writing is like my mind. Really random. Bare with me.)

1. Brandon Davies is going to be better off as a man by BYU suspending him from the basketball team. BYU has a strict honor code for a reason. Now I have nothing but respect for BYU & the honor code they have. It is set forth because they want to turn young men & women into the kind of people they need to be. At least in the eyes of BYU. It’s not like the honor code was just created yesterday. It has been around a long time. Now it was leaked that Davies had sex, which is a big no-no at the college. The college did the right thing & they are ok with it.

2. Lebron James sucks. Why I say that? Have you seen him? There is always all this talk that he is the best basketball player in the NBA, but sense he went to Miami, I haven’t even seen what I saw from him in Cleveland. Except he is trying to steal the spot light & take control on Wade’s team. Tell me I’m wrong. YOU CAN’T!

3. Kevin Garnett. Two sentences says it all. If he is on your team, the passion & intensity he brings is the greatest thing ever. If he is not on your team, there is no dirtier player in the NBA today. Just the facts. Glad he is on my team.

4. Cam will go top in the top 10, but not #1.

5. Bob Sanders can still get it done. He ain’t over yet. He will sign.

6. Bart Scott was on TNA. The problem is not him being on the show, but TNA having him on the show. TNA is reaching too much.

7. Carson Palmer will retire to get out of Cleveland. He has to do some drastic. It will work. Once the new CBA is agreed on, he will sign will another team by coming out of retirement. Hey, Brett Favre did it. Remember the Jets? Just saying.

8. The CBA has an extension for another week, but it’s not going to matter. This is not going to be resolved by then. Think about how long this has been coming. They knew for years. Why didn’t they come up with something before? Another week is not going to change a thing.

9. Tony Parker being out is not going to hurt the San Antonio Spurs. They are still going to be the #1 seed in the west going into the playoffs. In fact, Tony is even playing against the Heat as I type this. Guess he is back early.

10. Derrick Rose is THE MVP. No one has had a better year with such inconsistencies. Injuries have caused him to take control & lead the rest of the Bulls through the tough times in the season. Please, let’s not rob him for the Prince who can’t win shit. EVER!

That is the top ten things going on this week. Top ten to me. Which is all that matters, since I am writing, right?

TNA Wrestling 3-3-11

For those of you who are new here, Chaos is a huge wrestling fan. (Chaos also likes to refer to him in 3rd person. It amuses me.) Sports is a big part of my life & has been for many years. Football over the the last 6 years & the NBA for more than 14 years. But wrestling, that has been a part of my life for all 26+ years of my life. I have studied it. I have spent years learning from the best of the best. For this reason exactly is why is pains me to even watch TNA wrestling. But because its not all bad & a lot of my favorites are there I have continued to watch it. But wait, maybe not for long.

The night after the Royal Rumble, WWE started running these vignettes (Known in wrestling as short packaged videos hyping something special to come.) featuring a man in a trench coat in rain. A lot of people thought it was going to be either the return of the Undertaker or the long awaited debut of Sting into the WWE. At the end they had numbers placed to indicate a date: 2-21-11. Speculation circled for weeks until everyone figured out who it would be. The Undertaker. The date came & went & he was unveiled as the man in the video. Why is that important? Keep reading.

TNA having signed Sting back under contract, ran a video that was almost exactly like the one WWE did about it. I did a video about it in anger & disgust, everyone who saw it told me that they had the same reaction. Its pretty bad. TNA has taken so many shots at the WWE over their 9+ years they have been a company. But that one takes the cake. Even worse than Hogan signing & doing a press conference at Madison Square Garden in NYC, the building helped made famous by WWE.

So this is my last stand. I am going to watch TNA wrestling tonight just like I have done for many years since they debuted on Spike TV. But if I watch next week is going to depend on the show tonight. Its not looking good. The show was taped last week in Fayetteville, NC. Actually the next 2 weeks of shows was taped last Thursday night while the show, which was pre-taped, was airing on TV. That is another thing that bugs me, but we will let it slide for now. TNA, the ball is in your court...

Follow me on Twitter: @theanswerchaos. I will upload a video after the show on my YouTube account most likely. Be sure to follow me so that you will know & watch it. I'm sure I will have tons to say about the show. Tweet me while the show is airing also, as I will be tweeting live about the show...

Personal Life in the way of Sports Life

Seven year old Amalya Knapp an accomplished young gymnast from New Jersey missed day one of the state competition this past weekend. Why? Because of her religious obligation to the sabbath. She is an Orthodox Jew and her family observes Saturday as the Sabbath.

Sophomore BYU star Brandon Davies was suspended from the highly talented NCAA basketball team. BYU has a strict honor code that prohibits alcohol use and premarital sex, among other things. BYU lost to New Mexico in the game following Davies' suspension.

So here we have two examples in the past week of how a personal life can interfere with a sports program. I feel bad for young Amalya and for Davies but really, the rules are there, the dates are set for the tournaments and games before these young people even decide to commit. I hear that Knapp's mother is complaining that they should be able to allow Amalya to compete on Sunday instead of Saturday like all others in the competition. Why? An extracurricular gymnastics program is just that: extracurricular. The rules shouldn't be bent for one athlete because then it will cause a ripple effect on other conflicting situations. When would it stop? An athlete has church on Sunday too, so would they move the competition to Tuesday? What about everyday school responsibilities. There is no perfect day for these tournaments. The parents of Amalya Knapp did the right thing and maintaining their commitment to their faith and not attending the tournament. Yet, they should not be in the news complaining about it. It was their choice to miss the tournament.

Davies is said to be extremely remorseful for dismissing the honor code and engaging in sex with his girlfriend - yet, that won't get him back on the team, will it? No... No matter what you believe in terms of the honor code, Davies knew this when he committed to BYU. The rules are sprung on these athletes post-committment. What Davies does in his bedroom is none of my business but he attends BYU where it is their business. I don't disagree with the school trying to instill morals and values in their students either. But that's probably not what a young adult wants to think about when they are in college. Will this teach him a lesson? Probably not. He's a young star athlete and will probably be back on the team next season. Let's face it, BYU needs him.

This happens more than a few times a year I'm sure of it. What are your thoughts?

He is "Mr. Big Shot"

Chauncey Billups.

Mr. Big Shot.

NBA Finals MVP.

NBA Champion with the Detroit Pistons.

5x NBA All-Star.

I could stop this thing right there. I could. There is no reason to really continue, but I will. He has been in the NBA for 14 years & has been very consistent over most of the time he's played in the league. Instead of throwing out a bunch of facts & stats, which by the way I am huge on, I am just gonna say this: Why would anyone think that Chauncey Billups was just a throw in with that deal New York made for Chauncey Billups? New York knew what they were doing when he was added to the trade. Chauncey said it best last night, Mike D'Antoni's system is different from any that he has played in during his time in the league. But it is going to be the most effective. Guaranteed. Fact is, he is not a throw in. Never will be. I have always thought of Chauncey as being like Ray Allen. He just knows what to do to make the guys around him better & contribute with scoring. Chauncey is like Ray, they are both clutch. Don't believe me? Did you miss the game yesterday? Its the one thing that is different from Lebrick James, the "Prince" as Skip Bayless calls him. He couldn't get it done, but Chauncey can.

This reminds me of the movie How High. At the end of the movie, Lark Voorhies tells her boyfriend that he can't possibly satisfy her anymore. Then Method Man chimes in with one of the greatest lines ever, "But I can..." As he smiles. That is like Chauncey. He can get it done because he has. Nuff Said...

Guest Blog: Inside One Fan's Mind Part 2

Greetings Draft friends one and all, except Raiders fans, just kidding.

In this installment I bring you the dreaded AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers—PICKS 1.31, 2.31, 3.31, 4.31, 5.31, 6.31, 7.30

Having played in a great Super bowl these guys do not need much as they were a play away from winning the Lombardi trophy for the 3rd time in the last decade. That said, they need to get better and younger on the offensive line, OT and Guard are the 2 big holes, and they can also use a CB. Depending upon how the combine goes this week and with due diligence by Steelers, which not many do it better since the Draft started than Pitt, I believe they will take 6’7 327 - 2010: Outland Trophy winner ...consensus All-American ... Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year…

OT Gabe Carimi University of Wisconsin with the #31 Pick

Cleveland Browns PICKS--1.6, 2.5, 3.6, 4.5, 5.6, 6.3 (from DEN), 6.5

As one of only 2 original football teams to never make the Super bowl, 4 total if you include Jacksonville and the Texans in the equation, the Browns still have a great fan base, and the team is becoming better. They have major needs at NT after dropping Shaun Rodgers; I am not sure why he was cut other than being a knucklehead, but he was a dominant force at NT and in a 3-4 Defense that is the QB! Besides NT, OL and ILB, S could all be addressed. The Browns should look to address safety and ILB in FA, and with the 6 pick

DT Nick Fairley Auburn 2010 Lombardi Award, college football's best lineman.

Cincinnati Bengals PICKS--1.4, 2.3, 3.2, 4.4, 5.3, 6.2, 7.4

The Bengals are good every couple of years and they could be good again this year if they can make some tough moves. I would cut Chad 85! And Sign a WR, this would be an addition by subtraction of a detraction from concentration. Without the “talented two” wideouts, the Cinci went 2 and 2. The main needs for the cats to become BENGALS are, OLINE, DLINE and WR. In my opinion I suggest they take (and since they’re not paying me this is free information),

6’4 and 212 lbs WR, AJ Green from GEORGIA, at #4 in the Draft

I usually do not like gambling on WR in the top 10, this is a sure bet, and possible OROY!! And may keep Carson Palmer in Orange and Black for a few more seasons.

Baltimore Ravens PICKS--1.26, 2.26, 3.26, 4.26, 5.26, 6.26, 7.22 (from PHI), 7.25

Baltimore is loaded plain and simple, and must fear Ray Lewis and Ed Reed running out of gas. The Ravens have a very talented if old team, with one of the worst cornerback tandems in the NFL. The only reason they grade out higher is because of their talented front 7. The Ravens but should look to address RT as they keep the BLINDSIDE protected with Mike Oher. Additionally, they need to upgrade at G, C, OLB, S and CB to round out their positions of need with depth for these birds. With the #26 pick the Ravens should select 6’3 264 OLB Justin Houston from Georgia.

In 2010 he had 10 sacks, and his stock is flying, a good run and I believe he will be a perfect fit in Baltimore.

And there you have it, my picks for the AFC North. Follow me on twitter @chargerjroc and let me know what you think.

Work in Progress

The Knicks owners must have read my first blog because Melo is bringing in the cash. I watched my second full Knicks game this season on Wednesday and what a spectacle it was. The introductions were NBA Finals-esque and there were plenty of new #7 jerseys in the Garden. But, is the trade going good for the team chemistry and win record? Well the Knicks are now 1-1 after losing the Cavaliers. So I'd have to say they are not there yet. It has been said from long time Knicks fans that this trade was not good for the team. I will have to disagree - at least for now. They are a work in progress. There is no denying that the team has talent but they are not meshing yet as they should be to be atop the Eastern division. A top team needs to step up on rebounds and defense, the Knicks are not doing that. So they go back to the drawing board, to work on the basics of team chemistry and making sure the transitions from offense to defense will work out. One exception is that they are about 20 games out from the end of the season and they should not be in training camp.

On Sunday, the Knicks go up against the Heat - another team with a lot of expectations - Who will come out on top?
